Believe it or not, your haters are your biggest fans. A “hater” is defined as a negative or critical person. Many times you may find it difficult to deal with these people and end up spending too much of your own time arguing with them. STOP – you are wasting your precious time.
I have my fair share of haters and I love every one of them. Why? Simply because they are free advertising… seriously. My haters are saying negative things about me every single day and I love every minute of it.
For example, one of my beloved haters told one of their friends that I was a scammer and terrible at SEO. Out of curiosity, their friend decided to reach out to me to see what I could do for their pressure washing business. Less than 24 hours later, the haters’ friend turned into a customer. Two months later, I had his pressure washing business ranking on the first page of Google, Yahoo, & Bing. He is no longer friends with the hater.
Just remember, your haters are talking about and thinking about you all the time. Think of them as your personal cheerleaders. They have nothing better to do with their time than to talk about you… so let them.
There are other solutions, though. If a hater is making false statements that hurt your reputation, you have a case for defamation. Although, I personally prefer to keep my haters on my unpaid marketing team.
